This Privacy Policy explains how Trynews ("we", "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit trynews.uk. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

• Log data. Standard server/CDN logs including IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps.
• Cookies and similar technologies. Used by us and by our analytics/advertising partners (see below) to remember preferences and measure usage.
• Information you provide. Our contact page opens your own email client with a message pre-filled — nothing is sent to us until you send that email yourself. Whatever you include (name, email, message content) is then visible to us as the recipient, the same as any email you'd send us directly.

Advertising & analytics partners

We use third-party services that may set cookies or collect data on our behalf:

• Google Analytics & Google Ads — traffic measurement and conversion tracking.
• Google AdSense — we intend to display ads served by Google AdSense; once active, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized Google ads via Google Ads Settings.
• Meta (Facebook) — a "Follow us" widget embedded in article pages loads Facebook's SDK, which may set cookies per Meta's own policies. Separately, our own systems automatically publish new articles to our Facebook Page; that publishing process does not collect any data from you as a visitor.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising broadly via aboutads.info or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.

How we use information

• Operate, secure, and improve the site
• Understand aggregate traffic and content performance, including an anonymous first-party page-view counter we run ourselves (no personal data, just a per-article count)
• Serve and measure advertising (once ad units are live)
• Respond to messages sent through our contact page

Hosting & infrastructure

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also stores our anonymous page-view counters. No personal data is stored in that system — just an aggregate view count per article.

Data retention & security

We retain contact emails you send us only as long as needed to respond to and resolve the inquiry. We use reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit and at rest, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Children's privacy

Trynews is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us.
